Health disparities cost our country financially in health care dollars and income lost due to illness. But equally important, they also cost our families, communities, and country when people we love are sick and die prematurely.

We can eliminate health disparities through health and medical research to create evidence-based treatments, policies, and programs to promote health and prevent disease.

Ultimately, we all need to come together—researchers and Americans from all groups—to help scientists eliminate health disparities and improve the length and quality of our lives.
